How do we move beyond the hype and fear around AI to the real questions that matter for nonprofits? One way is to debate them. This session brings an Oxford-style debate format to BridgeTECH, giving attendees a chance to watch sector leaders argue opposing sides of a carefully framed motion on AI’s role in the social impact sector. The exact motion will be set closer to the conference so it reflects the most relevant and timely issues—whether that’s around equity, fundraising, governance, or the broader nonprofit workforce. The debate format ensures a lively, balanced, and accessible discussion. Two teams will make opening statements, respond to rebuttals, and take questions from the audience. Participants will vote before and after to see how (or if) their views shift. Rather than providing definitive answers, this session is designed to surface the opportunities, risks, and contradictions in how nonprofits engage with AI—leaving attendees better informed, more curious, and better equipped to navigate what’s next.
