Ellen Howes serves as Director, Campaign and Major Gifts at Reading Is Fundamental, the nation’s largest children’s literacy nonprofit. A career gift officer, Ellen has worked alongside donors to raise millions for education and literacy and currently manages RIF’s $75 million campaign. Her strengths lie in relationship-building and major gifts program development, skills she has honed at institutions such as Challenger Center, American University, and the National Museum for Women in the Arts. Ellen earned her BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is known for her warm stewardship style and belief that we all have a deep desire to change the world for the better.
