Julie Naranjo Upham, CFRE, is a seasoned fundraising executive currently serving as Vice President of Individual Giving at Conservation International. Since March 2021, she has led the annual, midlevel, major, and planned giving teams, focusing on enhancing donor experience and strengthening the giving pipeline. Julie recently served as the Conference Co-Chair for the Bridge to Integrated Marketing & Fundraising Conference, helping shape its 19th and 20th annual events.
Her previous roles include Associate Vice President for Major and Planned Gifts at the National MS Society, where she led a national team to secure significant annual contributions, and Executive Vice President of Development for the Greater DC-Maryland Chapter. Julie’s earlier experience spans leadership and development roles at Conservation International, the Greater Washington Board of Trade, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Odell Simms & Associates.
She holds a BA in Government from William & Mary and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University.
