Dr. Sanjay Bindra is the President, Co-Founder, and Board Chair of the GOSUMEC Foundation USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing need- and merit-based medical education in India. The Foundation’s mission is to remove financial barriers and foster mentorship, creating a sustainable cycle where today’s scholars become tomorrow’s mentors and donors.
Under Dr. Bindra’s leadership, GOSUMEC Foundation USA has:
• Established the first endowment for medical students in India
• Supported scholars through a zero-overhead model that directs every dollar to impact
• Built a mentorship initiative in partnership with the Foundation for Excellence, where he also serves on the board
In 2025, Dr. Bindra spearheaded The GIVE Study — a pioneering, real-time experiment in Behavioral Philanthropy exploring how giving behaviors evolve and drive systemic change in access to education.
A practicing Cardiac Electrophysiologist with over 20 years of experience treating complex heart rhythm disorders, Dr. Bindra is board-certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine. He is deeply committed to caring for both hearts—and the systems that support them.
