Danielle T. Smereczynski currently serves as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Museum of the American Revolution. In this role, she leads the Museum’s fundraising strategy and advancement team, working closely with the President and CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership to ensure long-term financial sustainability and growth. Smereczynski brings more than 25 years of fundraising leadership experience in the museum field, including a 16-year tenure at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she oversaw individual giving and played a pivotal role in the $525 million “It Starts Here” campaign—the largest in the city’s cultural history—and helped achieve the most successful fundraising year in the institution’s history in 2021. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at the Please Touch Museum and at Rutgers University–Camden. Smereczynski earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The George Washington University.
