Chief Development Officer
St. Labre Indian School
Rachel Earl, CFRE, is the Chief Development Officer at St. Labre Indian School, a Pre-K-12th tuition-free private Catholic school and human service organization whose operating budgets are sustained through their national fundraising programs. In this role, she oversees all fundraising channels—including direct response, mid-level, major and planned giving, and grant management— which serves over 550 Native American children, their families and communities across three campuses in southeastern Montana.
With 19 years of experience in St. Labre's development department, beginning in the donor database unit and quickly advancing to leadership roles, Rachel directs the overall fundraising strategies, planning, budgeting, revenue forecasting, and professional development for her team of 30+ employees. She is also responsible for active estate management and driving the internal culture of philanthropy.
Prior to her career in fundraising, Rachel worked in the financial and insurance industries. Known for her no-nonsense and often non-traditional perspectives, she is highly respected by peers and industry professionals. Rachel is a frequent presenter at events such as the Bridge to Integrated Marketing & Fundraising Conference, and webinars hosted by Fidelity Charitable, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA). She also chairs the Christian Development Council Advisory Board for The NonProfit Alliance (TNPA). Rachel advocates for bold thinking to achieve desired results and consistently seeks new ideas and methods in fundraising.
