Shoba Viswanathan is the Executive Vice President and Chief Community Engagement Officer at Indiaspora, a nonprofit community of powerful global Indian leaders committed to inspiring the diaspora to be a force for positive impact. In this role, she mobilizes the global Indian community to drive meaningful change through philanthropy, public service, entrepreneurship, and advocacy, and now also helps oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations. She also serves as a Board Member ofthe India Philanthropy Alliance, connecting two of the most influential platforms for Indian diaspora giving and civic engagement.
Her academic background in intersectional feminist research informs her broader work at Indiaspora, where she works to ensure that diverse voices, particularly women's voices, are represented in leadership and decision-making spaces. Before joining Indiaspora, Shoba built a career in the publishing industry, using storytelling and narrative as tools for social impact, a thread that continues to run through everything she does.
