National Senior Director, Donor Engagement
Stop Solder Suicide
Crystal believes that every gift begins with a story and every story begins with a relationship. With more than a decade in fundraising and philanthropy, she’s made it her mission to connect people’s passion to purpose in ways that change lives.
As Senior Director of National Donor Engagement at Stop Soldier Suicide (SSS), Crystal leads with heart, ensuring every donor feels seen, valued, and part of something truly life-saving. Since joining SSS in 2020, she’s helped grow the organization to new heights achieving triple-digit revenue growth by keeping the focus where it belongs: on people. Her favorite moments are hearing from supporters about why they give and sharing the stories of veterans whose lives have been transformed by that generosity.
Before SSS, Crystal began her journey at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where she founded the Grateful Patient Program. In six years, she raised over $4.2 million by helping patients and families turn gratitude into meaningful giving. That experience shaped her belief that philanthropy isn’t about transactions it’s about human connection, shared purpose, and trust.
Crystal’s approach is equal parts strategy and soul. She’s known for her warmth, curiosity, and knack for making people feel like longtime friends, even on first meeting. Donors describe her as the kind of leader who remembers the “why” behind every gift and makes sure impact stories always find their way home.
Away from her work, Crystal’s world revolves around her husband of 21 years, Jeroud, and their three amazing kids—Layla (18)Brayden (16), and Luca (6). As the daughter and granddaughter of Army Veterans, her commitment to this mission runs deep.
For Crystal, fundraising is more than numbers—it’s about building a community of transformation, one heartfelt connection at a time.
