David Jones, Vice President of Fundraising Operations at Food Bank For New York City, brings a lifelong commitment to service and volunteering. He joined the organization in 2021 after a successful career in higher education advancement at the University of Georgia where he was often a speaker and faculty member at national professional fundraising institutes. He now leads teams at Food Bank For NYC across Donor Relations, Annual Giving, Prospect Research & Management, Database Administration, and Gift Processing. David is passionate about supporting organizations that meet critical human needs and enjoys sharing best practices with peers across the nonprofit sector. A native of Georgia, he proudly calls New York City a second home—“the most welcoming city in America, where most everyone has an accent… even Southern ones.”
Outside of work, David enjoys music, theater, and exploring NYC’s rich food scene. A proud UGA graduate/retiree/parent (with six Bulldog degrees in the family), he’s also a devoted fan of SEC college football.
