Beckie Cairns has been working in development for the last 16 years and currently serves as the Deputy Director for Gift Planning at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). She is responsible for overseeing the marketing and stewardship programs, which have seen significant growth since she started in the roll 8 years ago. She has expanded the reach of the direct mail program and implemented a cross-channel marketing strategy to increase the pool of planned giving leads and the number of new gift disclosures. Previously, she held roles at the National Geographic Society and National Public Radio (NPR).
