Maya Lozinsky is a climate communicator focused on leveraging storytelling to drive action on environmental issues. She graduated with honors from Scripps College in 2023, where she studied Politics and Philosophy and wrote her senior thesis on the intersections of the climate crisis and gender inequality. As a 2023 Marine Policy Intern at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, she contributed to a published research paper analyzing public attitudes toward Ocean Twilight Zone protection. Maya joined Oceana in 2024 as a Communications Intern and transitioned into her role as the Direct Response Specialist in April 2025 where she supports Oceana’s digital fundraising and e-commerce programs.
