Kim joined GoFundMe in 2018 and leads the Company’s global legal, compliance, trust and safety, information security, and enterprise risk functions. She advises the executive team and board on corporate governance, regulatory matters and risk strategy.
In addition to her executive role, she served as Chairman of GoFundMe.org, an independent charity, from 2018 to 2024, and currently serves as Chairman of the GoFundMe Giving Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity and Donor-Advised Fund sponsor focused on expanding access to charitable giving.
Previously, she was SVP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at WageWorks, Inc., where she led the legal function through its IPO and growth, overseeing M&A, regulatory compliance, investor relations, employment law, and cybersecurity. She also founded and led the company’s 60-member social responsibility committee.
Earlier, she held senior legal roles at KLA-Tencor, a Fortune 1000 semiconductor company, advising on governance, SEC compliance, and corporate transactions.
She has a B.A. in Political Science, with an International Relations Concentration, from U.C. Santa Barbara and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific and has been a member of the California Bar since 1994.
