Summer Parrish has extensive experience in nonprofit development and leadership. She currently serves as National Director, Individual Giving & Development for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) since January 2022. Under her leadership, NAMI experienced significant overall donor and revenue growth, strengthened major gifts, and created a mid-level giving program. Previous experience includes major gifts development at the Alzheimer's Association and directed development at The Reading Connection - Metro DC, focusing on strategic growth and donor stewardship. Additionally, Summer managed communications and fundraising for Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area, guiding a significant centennial campaign. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Literature and Language from Marymount University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
