Danielle Matz serves as the Director of Annual and Leadership Giving at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), where she leads donor-centered strategies that inspire philanthropy and strengthen lifelong relationships within the university community. Drawing on 15 years of experience spanning annual giving, capital campaign management, donor relations, and major giving, Danielle brings a holistic understanding of the donor journey and the importance of authentic connection in advancement work.
With roots in the nonprofit sector, Danielle is deeply committed to mission-based initiatives, particularly those that uplift underrepresented communities, veterans, and the military-connected population. She has also explored the use of predictive modeling and data-driven insights to inform engagement strategies and enhance fundraising outcomes. Danielle holds a B.S. in Political Science from Old Dominion University and an M.B.A. from UMGC. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family and cheering on their favorite sports teams.
