Change is the only constant and the heartbeat of progress; yet, nonprofits often struggle to navigate it effectively. For fundraisers, we must navigate a significant amount of change for our organizations to be successful. This Deep Dive session explores how fundraisers can become catalysts for change by mastering frameworks for personal, interpersonal, and organizational change. Participants will identify and dissect barriers to change and practice translating personal growth into tangible organizational impact. Through case studies, interactive reflection, and actionable tools, attendees will leave equipped to assess change readiness, motivate teams, and reinforce inclusive cultures of philanthropy.

Understand the "why" – Grasp the critical role of change management in advancing IDEA and fundraising success, using frameworks like the Model for
Managing Complex Change and ADKAR (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement).
Assess and address resistance – Identify personal/interpersonal barriers to change (e.g., fear, performative actions) and organizational challenges (e.g., funding constraints, oppressive ideologies) through trauma-informed lenses.
Apply practical tools – Use the CHANGE process (Confrontation, Handling Feedback, Awareness, Negotiating, Going Forward, Enacting) to design personal and team-level change strategies
